Led the marketing sub-team and contributed to the finance, operations, and business analytics sub-teams to reconcile other businesses functional areas
This is a semester-long, ten-person team project in which we developed a unique product concept from identifying market needs to product design, supply chain management, financial projections, and risk assessments. The team conducted multiple consumer interviews and surveys, informational interviews with industry experts and collaborated with engineering peers to refine product designs. Working together with peers in four business functional teams (marketing, finance, operations, business analytics), the team put together an integrated Excel workbook, a business plan over 100 pages long, and a final presentation.
Our product is an educational toy bundle with a doll, storybook, and first aid accessories that offer a hands-on educational experience to provide children with realistic, multi-level interaction with the dolls' injuries. The purpose of our product is for the children to have the hands-on experience to acquire first aid knowledge and the ability to apply it in real-life situations. The product fills in the gap of the current first-aid education market as the interactive dolls now are mostly role-play based and do not offer real-life simulations.
