HOW IT CAME TOGETHER

It started with my obsession with stickers and storytelling.

I started this merchandise project in January to celebrate my 100k streams milestone on Spotify for the "Intoxicated Love" EP (which has now over 400k streams). I ideated the images of these stickers and have them illustrated by a Taiwanese artist, Irene Chuang. Everything from image curation to communication with the illustrator and sticker printing service and ultimately promoting, selling, packaging, and shipping was all done by me.

I believe that merch is another great way for artists to tell stories, and this is my way of telling my story behind the song through stickers. Every sticker has a concept -- each has a meaning that is related to the coordinated lyrics in the song.

So far, I've made over $300 for sales in the U.S. and Taiwan combined.

融化的蠟燭 The Molten Candle

I made a wish about him that birthday night. I read it in my mind for so long that the candle started melting. Countless nights, my head has been replaying the words he said to me and the messages that were just ambiguous. One hour, and then two hours passed -- now the candle wax has melted everywhere.

回憶成癮 Memories Addiction

I need to draw out one roll of memory every day -- it became a habit of mine like an addiction I can't resist. I cannot pull myself away from the memories with him. Things were long far gone, and regardless of how pointless this is that I am doing, I cannot let go because I'm addicted to him.

其中一卷回憶 Memory in a Film Roll

We were waiting at Binjiang St. to plane spot that day (he loves airplanes). He took out his film camera and took a picture of me. If someone were to capture the moment, the frame would probably look like this.

The illustration in the film roll is also a scene in the music video where we were watching the plane taking off.

壞掉的刪除鍵 Broken Esc Button

I've tried deleting you from my head, but it's like pressing a broken Esc button -- it's never going to work.

現實的枷鎖 Shackled Reality

If we didn't have to consider reality, would we still miss each other like we are now?
